1st Annual Walpurgis Night Fundraiser

1st Annual Walpurgis Night Fundraiser

From April 1st through Walpurgis Night on April 30th, Walpurgis Words for Literacy holds its annual spring fundraising drive. This is our primary campaign of the year — one month to raise the funds that power every program we run. Every dollar contributed during this window goes directly toward putting books in schools and libraries, funding student writing contest prizes, producing the annual student anthology, and supporting our author mentorship initiative.

Here's what your support during the 2026 drive makes possible:

  • $25 provides a curated set of books for a school or public library shelf
  • $50 covers the cost of printing anthology copies for student contributors
  • $100 funds a cash prize for a Halloween Horror Flash Fiction contest winner
  • $250 sponsors a full mentorship pairing between a student and a published author
  • $500 underwrites an entire school library donation cycle, from needs assessment to delivery

This is our second year, and the momentum is building. Whether you give once or share our campaign with others, you're helping young writers find their voice. Join us this April — because the best stories start with someone willing to invest in them.
